    1. What Data Do We Collect?

    Data you provide to us

    We collect data from you when you visit one of our websites, use the contact forms on our websites, email us, telephone us or write to us.

    We collect data when you request a service from us, such as a magazine subscription or subscribing to our newsletter, and when you enter a competition, or when you place an advert in our magazines/publications/website/social media platforms.

    The information we collect includes your name, email address, postal address and phone number.

    Legitimate Interest

    We also collect data for business-to-business marketing where we feel there is a genuine legitimate interest.

    Cookies

    We may collect information when you visit KSG Publishing websites about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to collate aggregate information about users. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.

    1. How we use your information

    We use your information in several different ways, as necessary and appropriate for our business, including:

    Advertising Sales & Editorial – To contact local businesses and organisations who may be interested in advertising in our magazines/publications/website/social media platforms, or who may wish to provide information to our magazines/publications/website/social media platforms for editorial content.

    Suppliers – to communicate with businesses who supply services and products to us.

    Business Administration – For finance and accounting purposes, to contact customers who have placed an advert in our magazines/publications/website/social media platforms or who have taken out a magazine subscription, so we can send invoices and manage payments.

    Customer Service – So we can respond to correspondence, enquiries and requests you ask of us. This could be by phone, email or post.

    Subscriptions – In order to fulfil subscriptions, and post a magazine to you every month where you have requested this.

    Newsletter – to send you our newsletter by email.

    Competition Entries – So we can contact competition winners and to send information about our services and items which may be of interest to you. We also pass your details on to our competition partner. Details of the competition partner will be published in the magazines/publications/website/social media platforms each month alongside all the competition information. This data is not sold on, but as part of entering the competition, the prize provider for the specific competition you enter will receive your details so they can contact you about goods/services that you may be interested in. Where possible, we will also provide a link to the competition partner’s Privacy Notice. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for our competition partner’s policies.

    1. Online Advertising / Links to Third-Party Websites

    Many of the KSG Publishing websites show advertising to users and contact links to third-party websites. When you click on advertisements or links on any of our sites, you will leave that site and go to a third-party site, which is outside of our control. Our Privacy Notice does not apply to these companies, sites or content and if such third-party sites collect personal data, we cannot control how this data is processed, stored or used, and we advise that you read their Privacy Notices.

    1. Who we share your data with and where it is stored?

    We store your information on our computer systems based in the UK, and we also store information with Cloud service providers in the US.

    We use a number of third-party organisations to help provide a professional service to our customers (i.e. accountancy services, graphic design, hosted website and email services).

    These organisations act as “data processors” and are strictly controlled in how they may/may not use your information.

    The information that we collect from you may be transferred to, stored and processed by a third-party service provider. By submitting information to us, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing.

    1. How long do we keep your personal data for?

    We will hold your personal information on our systems only for as long as required to provide you with the products and/or services you have requested.

    Where you sign up to receive email marketing from us, we will retain your e-mail address after you ‘opt-out’ of receiving emails in order to ensure that we continue to honour and respect that request. To unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time, please click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email and this will update your preferences. You may also to inform us if you do not wish to receive any marketing materials from us.
