Every wedding is special because there is always an element of personalisation added to the day by the couple. However, there are certain trends which appear over time and, this month, I thought I’d highlight the top 10 trends I’ve noticed, as we start making our way towards 2019…

  1. Drones

One of the biggest videography trends you are going to see in 2019 is using drones to capture different perspectives. Thanks to these small devices you will be able to capture footage from angles and views you wouldn’t normally see.

  1. Digital Free Weddings

2019 will see a rise in unplugged ceremonies and possibly even entire weddings. Guests will be encouraged to put away their mobile phones and electronic devices and to enjoy being in the moment, allowing your trusted photographer and/or videographer to capture your everlasting moments and memories on film, while you and your guests enjoy living in the present.

  1. Tiaras

With the royal wedding taking place earlier this year, there’s been a popular increase with brides wearing tiaras, recreating their very own fairy tale wedding.

  1. Deeper, Brighter Colours

Gone are the days of pastel themed weddings, in 2019 expect to see deeper, brighter wedding colours.

  1. DIY Food Stations

Menus and desserts are getting more creative every year, and 2019 will see more sharing plates, food vans and, alongside a wedding cake, expect to see dessert tables filled with all sorts of sweet and delicious treats.

  1. Hanging Florals

We’ve already seen some breath-taking hanging floral centrepieces from local North Wales suppliers this season and I know this will continue to be one of the biggest trends in 2019 too.

  1. Pearls

Pearl jewellery has been having a big moment in fashion recently and this trend has now transferred to weddings. With pearls smartly sewn onto sheer fabric necklines and backs of wedding dresses to presents given to the bridesmaids.

  1. Unique Wedding Settings

More and more brides are opting for a more unique wedding settings where they can create a romantic and laid-back style of wedding. Have you considered having your wedding in a barn – or even on a beautiful North Wales beach?

  1. Alternative Bar Options

Another trend which is set to continue is having alternative bar options for your big day. Not only is it standard to have a bar area for your guests, the rise in popularity of also having a gin station, Prosecco van or cider bar will continue long into 2019.

  1. Copper, metallic and marble

Copper, metallic and marble all work together beautifully and can be included in a variety of overall colour schemes and themes.
